MYLAROSE

LOCATION: Fraserburgh Shiplift

Ex Buckie registered Ocean Reward arrived to have extensive refit for new Irish owner Trevor Annant of Kilkeel who has renamed her Mylarose and also new new port registration numbers applied.

The works took 2½ weeks to complete

Works involved were large scale preparation, including blasting back to bare metal of all steel works and aluminium works both inside fish handling decks, aft quarter deck and on external deck shelter, which on completion received 4 coats of 2 pack primers, high build coats and topcoat. The timber hull was blow lamped and scraped back to bare timber and sanded down before receiving 2 coats of wood primer, 1 coat undercoat and 2 coats of marine enamel blue topcoat while on the shiplift.

The vessel was fully painted from the top of masts to keel which left the new owner highly satisfied with efficiency and quality of works which came in on budget to leave the new Mylarose looking very well for her homeward journey to her new home port of Kilkeel.
