The Neptune arrived in Fraserburgh dry dock for cleaning and painting. Fully cleaned and painted these works were completed within 5 days much to the satisfaction of the owners.
Due to blasting, metalisation and painting works we carried out 4 years ago to the Neptune here in Fraserburgh, the Neptune looks remarkably well, which meant from this investment the Neptune would not require full re-painting, although the photographs would suggest that she had been fully painted.
On arrival in Fraserburgh the Neptune was washed down and any worn down/damaged rust spots were cleaned back to bare metal before applying 2 touch up coats, 1 x base coat & 1 x top coat to all these prepared areas. The outer hull received the same treatment before being fully coated to have her looking like new again. New transducers and zinc anodes were also fitted.
The Neptune had also had an extensive maintenance package carried out 4 years ago which has resulted in cost savings as within 15 minutes of refloating the Neptune was heading back to Killybegs, Ireland.
