Fire Retardant Coatings
Application of fire retardant coatings are commonly used in the construction industry for the protection of structural steel against fire.
It is essential that these coatings are applied by experienced operators to achieve recommended paint film thicknesses. The applications can either be done on-site during construction or at our in-house facility prior to construction.
PBP also specialise in site coating works of structural steel sections while still under construction, where our experienced operators will appply an intumescent fireproof coating to spec this will provide a certified 1 or 2 hour protection against fire.
Other intumescent fire proofing works include coatings to wood, timber and cladding on buildings in order to provide protection against surface spread of flames.
All works are certified on completion and comply with local planning authority requirements.
