Blast cleaning & protective coating application. PBP Services has been working for over 2 years with Land & Marine at the St. Fergus Gas Terminal on the emissions reduction project during the construction period for owners National Grid.
During these works, we have to date on this contract, safely worked over 10,000 man hours and anticipate to work the same man hours again before completion. The works have consisted of blast cleaning and painting to National Grid specification, of pipework and spools up to 42 inch, both at our own premises prior to installation, and on site during construction. All works are carried out by experienced and trained personnel working closely with qualified coating inspectors, in order to achieve a first class finished product.
It is a testament to the owners and main contractor that they have chosen to use a local family operated company, with local employees, which has now been trading for over 40 years. This is very encouraging and appreciated due to the fact that it has been very frustrating over the years watching large companies come in to do these works on our doorstep without having the opportunity to tender for the works. We have invested a lot in personnel, equipment, training, and facilities over the years in order to compete and win these types of contracts.
