LOCATION: Fraserburgh
The Shetland registered wooden hulled seine net trawler Valhalla arrived on Fraserburgh shiplift for annual refit and painting works.
These works have historic painting traditions which PBP take pride in specialising in old style methods of applications and specialist finishes.
The works involve washing and cleaning down surface, preparation and application of the highest quality of marine paints varnishes and anti fouling coatings.
A specialist part of these works handed down through the generations involve traditional fine detailed sign writing of names, numbers, ribbons, flags and artistic motifs.
Also carried out on these works are the traditional oil scumbling then wood grainingof wheelhouse and caisson surfaces which is then followed by lining and varnishing of the wheelhouse and caisson.
These works are carried out by experienced and skilled persons with a fine eye for detail to the highest of standards.
